| The benefit/value of travel?
Can any of you smart people point me to a link that discusses the benefits/perceptions of affluent parents sending their kids on "service" trips in developing countries?
I know I have seen this discussed in various threads here, and now I am grasping at straws trying to rebut an extremely annoying person who is quite sure that spending vast sums of money to spend a month in one of these programs will guarantee her admission to Harvard.
Well, I should not waste my time, but it's kind of fun swatting at her online. If this were real life I'd just keep my mouth shut and be amused. |
