How do you deal with rejection letters?

I was rejected from UNC-Chapel Hill, and I have always wanted to go there since I was five years old. I just cannot imagine staying at my current college. I loathe that place! I just want to know how you all deal with rejection? I know I cried like for hours. Lol.

Play Smashmouth and sing along.
Quote:
I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

I get knocked down
But I get up again
You're never going to keep me down

We'll be singing
When we're winning
We'll be singing

You simply have to move on. It will do you no good to dwell on things. You may spend a little time trying to figure out why they rejected you so you can fix whatever it seems to be. It may be nothing, but bad luck, so good luck in the future.

Thanks guys. But you can't help but dwell on it for a while. I'm fine now,but there's always next year!

That's Chumbawamba (or something close to that).

But then it goes to say he takes a whiskey drink, he takes a vodka drink -- don't go there, mblack, even if you're of age.

I'm sorry you didn't get in to your dream school. Can you transfer somewhere else? Why do you loathe your current school?

I think I hate it b/c it doesn't have the prestige that UNC has. Plus, it's difficult to get over a child hood dream. Also the school where I am at is constantly in the shadow of UNC in every way imaginable. I don't mesh with the people or the campus. The place is just the polar opposite of UNC. But I will definitely try to transfer next fall.

Fire up the shredder! Garbage in, nice uniform shapes out.

Adopt this attitude: they had a chance to have you as a student...they blew it! Life goes on. You will rise to your potential regardless of what it says on your degree. This detour will alter your path in some way, but you'll still be on your path.

pick another school to transfer to-someplace you have never even considered before. In other words, try to get out of a mindset that has not served you.

I agree w/oregon. Find a new match. The grass is always going to be greener at UNC, and it's not healthy to keep up this unrequited love.
