I want to major in biology (specifically micro or cellular or marine) and go to med school. Are these good schools for my aspirations? Also do you think I should add or replace some schools for the ones I am considering? Also are there any schools you would delete all together? Are these the catagories I have placed the schools in accurate?
In a college I am looking mostly for a school with a strong biology department. Decent professors that are at least somewhat interested and care about their undergrad students. Also do they have a decent rate of sending students to med school.
PS Can you suggest any schools I should look into? Still adjusting my list.
PPS I realize UMich isnt really realistic for me and I dont really want to go there at all but my parents are forcing me to apply so I cant remove it.
Thank you very much I hope I can get a lot response because I really need some unbiased imput (everyone other than me is dead set on where they want me to go but they will support me wherever I choose.)
Thanks

Have you looked at Juniata? They have a very high acceptance rate into med schools.

I haven't gone to all the college sites but you should check out each one's class profile or search for common data set. I think Northeastern would actually be a match whilst Kalamazoo and Miami U would be a slight reach.

Northeastern would be a slight reach not a match with those ACT scores/gpa.

Eckerd is a match, not a safety for you.

Eckerd is a match, not safety.
Northeastern, Boston University--move up to high reach
I don't feel like looking up the rest.

UNC Wilmington-Average High School GPA: 3.7
Go the the Princeton Review Website and you'll find the profiles of admitted students. You have to set up an account with user name and password. Search there and you'll find what you're looking for.

Dude...with a 3.25 you'd be lucky to get into any 4 year school. you can't make things happen by asking obsessively. I don't know where you pulled your stats from, but most of the schools you mention I can't imagine as a match or safety.
Maybe it is different in MI, but out here a 3.7 is bare minimum for the big state schools and 3.5 is minimum for the expensive and none too selective private lib arts colleges. 3.25 could get you one of the regional teacher's colleges or Portland State.

Indiana University
Admissions
Average High School GPA: 3.6
You have to be very conservative when categorizing your college wish list.
You have a GPA of 3.25. If the Average GPA of the freshman profile is 3.6, then you really shouldn't consider the school a match. Put it in the reach section. Stay conservative until you have a stronger ACT score in hand.
