I have a friend whose D inquired about how often the communal bathrooms were being cleaned. She asked students living in the dorms. She also looked at the bathrooms to see how clean they looked. Several schools were eliminated from her potential school list.

Lol at Bay's and barrons comments .
Seriously, Bay has a point here. Meningitis ain't no joke, and extremely close living quarters and over-taxed bathrooms put one at increased risk. Best to make sure that all applicable immunizations are administered, including a flu shot.

It's no fun going through exams or papers with the flu. Kids are more likely to come down with something during the times of not enough sleep and less than optimal nutrition so that approach of looking at cleanliness has merit.
