so I wrote an essay and I'm not sure if I did it right or not...

i wrote one, but i don't know if it is what a college essay should be.
i feel like it needs something more...

are there any veteran parents out there who would be willing to read it and let me know if they think it works?
thanks

I don't think there is a 'right' way to write an essay.
Does it 1) tell them something about you as a person, so they can decide if you would be a good fit for their school
and 2) show that you can think logically and use good grammar, spelling etc.

If you want to PM I can take a look at it (my son has completed all his essays, so no chance for plagiarism, just in case you were worried!). I used to write for a living...

Btw, have you read any of the books out there on college essay writing? They can give you some good tips/general guidance, also.
