Congrats! NAU also has fixed tuition rates for 4 years, fixed room & board rates for 2 years and some nice scholarship opportunities. NAU participaptes in WUE. Flagstaff is a beautiful area. We've run into 3 families here in the midwest that have kids at NAU and are very happy as are their kids. It's one of those "safety" schools that some kids just want to go to. My son applied also.

Excellent news.

First, pat your son on the back. Second, breathe a sigh of relief......

Congratulations & thank you for posting this.

"I wanted to post this to reassure all of you parents with average (truly average, not CC average) students that there is a school out there for your kid! We have spent the last 3 years agonizing - will he get in, is he good enough, etc."

Or sometimes cc = community college. Depends on context, of course.

wow, I am so touched by all of the positive responses I've gotten to this post. I think it means 2 things...parents on CC are nicer than students, and I am definitely not alone in the world, worrying about my average kid! Also I'm so happy to hear all of the great remarks about NAU, we are going to a local info session this Sunday and my son is excited to hear about it.
Have a great day, everyone!
