congrats elizabeth! My H graduated from NAU and it was absolutely the best school for him. He started at a much larger school which was not right for him. He has had a very successful career.

elizabethh -- big congratulations to your son! What a wonderful relief for both of you -- it feels great to have one "in your pocket".

Have you visited NAU? I don't know very much about it, but my S has received a lot of mail and emails from them. We have never been to Flagstaff, is it a nice area?

You are within driving distance from the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, the Painted Desert, San Francisco Peaks skiing, and Meteor Crater. What else would you want?

Whooo Hoooo. NAU is a wonderful school and like missypie I harbor a hope that DS will consider it. I hope your son likes /or will grow to like all of the wonderful outdoor rec options he will find there.

Thanks so much for sharing your good news! Best of luck with the remaining decisions!

That is really just so great to have an acceptance. Good luck with the rest of his schools.

Bengalmom - We haven't been to Flagstaff yet. my son has a couple of friends there who are really enjoying it. I know it's a beautiful area, and it snows in the wintertime. The school itself is on the small side - 16,000 or so - at least small for what my son is looking for. i believe its a very outdoorsy place - environmental studies is a big draw there.
