Anyone here familiar with transferring to one of the Claremont Colleges?

Do any of you folks know someone or is familiar with the transfer process into any of the 4 Claremont colleges? Is it worth trying to apply to one of the 4 (I'm interested in McKenna, know people that go there, etc etc.) but the acceptance rate is kind of scary for me..

I am a transfer student who transferred into Claremont McKenna. Yeah, the acceptance rate is low but you have to try. I was rejected from CMC early decision out of high school and thought I had no shot at getting in with the amount of transfers they were taking this year. As a transfer applicant, I was initially waitlisted, then rejected, then accepted. The accept rate for transfers this year was 11.2% and there were 297 applicants. Just go for it. I am pretty sure Pomona, HMC, and Pitzer all have similar transfer rates. Varies from year to year so hard to say for certain.

do you mind telling me what your stats were? did you transfer in as a sophomore or junior?

the acceptance stats they have on their website from last fall was around 30%, I didn't see the new ones for this fall, where did you find out about it being 11%?

as explained on this thread on CMC transfers ( Transfer from Cal to Claremont McKenna or Pomona ) the higher accept rate was associated with the opening of a new residencial hall....low teens is probably the normal rate.
