Mistake on application!

Hi! I was wondering if you guys could offer some advice:

I applied to a highly competitive Early Action school, and today, when rereading my common application, I realized that I made very, very big mistakes. I misrepresented my activities (saying I participated in them for 5 hours/week instead of 30 hours/week!!!). And also, I made the same mistake with the timing for other activities AND in my additional attachment! I'm so worried Does anyone know what to do / if the colleges will could that against you? I know that I HAVE to correct it at least some way because the activity plays a large role in my application.
Should I call the Admin office? Email them? Any advice in general?
Thanks!

Create a resume with the correct figures and mail it to them.

Yes, send an email and/or written letter (or both) with a simple explanation and the corrections: something like "I was thinking hours/month but I now realize it's hours/week" or the other way around or whatever.

It was an honest mistake, and as long as you make a fast and good-hearted attempt to correct it you'll be fine.

If the college has sent you an ID # or Applicant # or something like that be sure to include it prominently in the email header and at the top of the written letter so it finds its way to your app.

Missypie, I demand that you come over to my house right now and clean the coffee that I sprayed all over my computer screen when I fell on the floor laughing after reading this

One of my kids was really interested in one college on the West Coast, which I shall call "Wonderful College". He had to write an essay for a Wonderful College on "Why I want to attend Wonderful College".

After he had submitted the apps, and all was said and done, I happened to be looking at his printouts for some reason and I saw that the last line of the essay was:

"...and that is why I want to attend Princeton."

He was admitted to Wonderful College anyway. But ultimately chose another school, and has been happy as a clam there for 4 years.

Are you sure you spend over 4 hours/day on your EC and also time on other ECs? Remember the application asks you to average your overall time spent; maybe that's how you came up with 5 hours/week on average. I suggest you look over the instructions again before assuming you made so many miscalculations in reporting your hours.
