Here is a link to an article about Tufts latest contribution to the craziness that has become the college admission process: submission of youtube videos. It's one thing to submit audition tapes for the performance arts, but this policy creates new pathways to angst and abuse.
It's one of eight choices for the OPTIONAL essay. I thought it was a good idea. My son took one of the other options (Imagine US history if we'd lost the battle of Yorktown). I like colleges that give students a chance to show themselves besides the usual tired Common Application choices.
