Congrats to Ilitz and Simpkin on the latest acceptances. I think that this thread helped a lot of people indentify good options for their kids.
Good luck to those still waiting. Chardo, there's nothing wrong with dreaming. It worked for my D1.

Mom2009, yes UVM is a top choice for my son! So glad that your S1 is happy there and S2 admitted. That's great news. My son is very excited about his early acceptance. Let's stay in touch... simpkin, congratulations on more good news -- lots of great options for your son!

Thank you so much! Tonight has been fun - kind of the experience I thought we were going to have last night! We have called and emailed every relative, posted the news on FB, etc. I think it is still sinking in that we are done on December 1 - quite a contrast to S1's process - that dragged on into late April. Not that the fastest process is the best or that ED is right for everyone - but I think it was the right path for this teen (and his Mom)!
Also had a nice note from the Elon Hillel director today - and she is sending something to S2 - I have no idea what it is.

Mazel tov RVM and son on mission accomplished, and look at all of us you have taken on the ride with you. I know that I was more motivated to get things going early when you started this thread. Wonderful news today in this wonderful community, but again it may not be sweet all the way around and we are still here to support the bumps in the road.
Congratulations to all of you with great news today. It was fun reviewing the day's posts tonight!

| More congratulations
I wanted to join in saying Mazel Tov to all those who received acceptances the past few days and their families. Over the last 15 months I have been reading this thread fairly consistently and feel like I know many of the posters.

A fun Chanukah/celebration gift idea for all of your wonderful soon-to-be-college students... I bought each of my sons a t-shirt with the name of their school in Hebrew. I think the name of the website I found them at was cafe press dot com but you can probably google for it, or you can possibly find them though the Hillel site of your schools.

Itlitz, congrats on boulder admission. I know that it is a real contender for your daughter. My d also got in there today. She was not excited. While I liked it, she has her sights set elsewhere.
Hours later, I am still excited for RVM

Socal: Congrats on the CU Boulder admit! As a U of D alum who also spent several days with S at Boulder for an Odyssey of the Mind competition, I was really impressed with Boulder. I love the town and I thought the architecture of the school was beautiful. Maybe it's the "grass is always greener" but I would have pushed CU over UD to S if he had shown any interest in either. But again, my opinion of CU was based on a very limited period of time.

Wow...such great news on this thread. Congratulations to all of these early acceptances.
Good luck to those of you still waiting. I know how anxious/crazy I was a year ago (and will be again in a couple of years). Looking forward to reading about more acceptances (and commisserating over the inevitable disappointments as well).

SOCALDAD,
Congrats on Boulder even if it is not on her radar. Keeping my fingers crossed for the high on the listers.
