Status change

Anyone else have a status change? My D went from-"your application is complete! All of your required materials are here, and we are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made." -to, "your application is complete and all of your required materials are here.". When my older D applied 2 years ago status changed to "a decision will be posted here in the coming days." about 2 days before her decision was posted. Just wondering if anyone else noticed this change.

Yea my status changed to that too.

Status changed again. This time it reads: We are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made.
I know these seem like small differences, but I wonder what process has been performed that is causeing the status to change at all? When my older daughter applied the status changed slightly from "...a decision will be posted here as soon as one is made" to the "...a decision will be posted in the coming days" status just before she was accepted. Anyone else noticing any changes?

Those changes don't reflect too much of importance -- you are waiting for the "decision posted in the coming days" and everything else is just noise. Think of it as the sort of thing you get while waiting on the phone -- it's just to let you know they are still there. The Coming Days status usually means there's only 12-48hrs until you will know, but last year many of our freshmen found out via snail mail before their online status changed!

When our son was admitted, he applied at the end of November and heard by Christmas (he's a senior). DD just applied a week and a half ago and her status has changed 4 times--the most recent was today, which says, "We are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made." That makes me think it won't bee very long....we'll see if I'm right.

Hopefully! I can't wait to hear from them.

Beachmom21 - I was thinking the same thing. I suppose I am hoping this latest status is the new "coming days" status of years past. My sophomore daughter didn't find out she had been accepted for Fall University Park until January, but it seems last year students found out earlier. Fingers crossed!

D also had status change a couple of days ago to the "We are reviewing your credentials. A decision will be available here as soon as one is made." App went in Sept/transcript went in 1st week of Oct. If anyone gets a "coming days" one keep us posted~

Same changes for us as well. I hope we don't have to wait too long!

Am I the only one who is checking their status way too much?

At an admissions presentation, we were told to check MyPennState once/week and that notifications of decisions will start at the end of Oct.

Is it true that you have better chances of getting accepted at UP if you select DUS as opposed to a major that might have limited enrollment?

Any news from the front ??

No news yet! My gut is that my D's app has been reviewed and a decision has been made-but that they are not yet releasing ant decisions. I'm not expecting to hear early really-since she is not a shoo-in. As far as it being easier to be accepted DUS as opposed to certain colleges-that is somewhat true. Business, engineering, nursing, and meteorology as well as others are much harder than say Health & Human Development or Education-but many people on these threads have called or emailed admissions after being denied University Park in a specific college, and they were told if they switched to DUS they could attend UP.
Pineview-is your D's picture still University Park? My D's is and I remember with my older D that with the coming days status some people had the photo change to the lion and branch campus info. Over thinking this I know!!

No news yet here, either. DD applied to the engineering school and only chose UP campus. She has the pic of UP and then she has all the campus info for UP-housing, safety, etc. Hopefully soon!
