Liberal Arts Economics degree v.s. Smeal econ degree?

Ok so i am applying to transfer to upark but since I have taken more than 3 semesters I am ineligible to enter Smeal (stupid, stupid, stupid rule) But anyways I was thinking of just applying for the econ major offered by the liberal arts college. Does anyone know if this is significantly differrent than the degree offered in Smeal? Will getting this degree rather than the Smeal degree hurt my chances of getting a job when I graduate???

I'm not sure, but I'm thinking it doesn't really have much of a difference except during the recruitment process where there will be more companies coming in to Smeal rather than CLA.
