No, you can post if you got rejected so that next year's applicants have a better idea of their chances (aka, if they have the same stats as you).

Notifications supposedly were supposed to start coming out today, but as you can tell by the empty thread - no notifications (even though I'm 99% sure they were uploading material this morning when the admissions part of their site was 'down for maintenance' for ~1 hours.

ugh - still have the "we've received it....may require more info...will contact you...." notice.

Weird since the application was submitted in mid-Sept and they had all transcripts and scores by late July.

(they really should have the Final Jeopardy song playing in the background!)

If its anything like last year, most of you are in for a long wait. Unless you were at the very high range of stats (accepted to UP) or the very low range of stats (accepted to branch) it seems as though most people only heard towards the end of January, regardless of when they applied. PSU is not 'true' rolling admissions. Yes, they do release decisions in waves, but it really is not a first come first served as long as you meet a certain criteria. I believe they do look at the application pool in total somewhat. The obvious accepts and rejects are notified first though. It seems everyone else goes into a pool.

Last year, D1 received her Penn State acceptance on Dec 14th and was accepted into Schreyer in late February.

Yep, for me (class of 2012) I received my Schreyer Acceptance the last week in Feb.
