Chances?

Currently a junior btw
State: Delaware (not a whole lot of us at Pepperdine, eh?)
GPA: 3.3 at one of your stereotypical east coast prep schools
Taking AP exams in US History, Comp. Gov. (self study), and English Comp.
SAT: 2060, 730 CR, 690 Math, 640 Writing
E.Cs

Jv Football 9-11 (captain 10-11) Varsity 11
Jv Basketball 9-10
Jv Lacrosse 9-11 (considering playing club at Pepperdine)
Spent a week with church youth group in Key West last summer on a missions trip
roughly 80 hours volunteering with local cancer foundation, probably will hit 100 by the fall
Young Republicans club member, planning to squeeze in some campaigning this summer/fall
Spent a month working in the family business in the summer after 9th grade
Spending 6 weeks at Northwestern University College Prep this summer, taking a couple classes

I will also get some strong recommendations from my advisor, history teacher, and pastor, and I write pretty good essays according to my advisor

Thanks for any responses, I'll be sure to help any chance threads you might have in return.

I got in with a 3.3 and 30 ACT (which is similar to a 2060). I am also from the East Coast (NJ) but from public school. We have pretty much the same academic profile and the essays and activities really helped me as they want a well-rounded student who is talented and has volunteering hours. Make sure you visit the campus and try to keep in touch with your admissions counselor as that definitely helped the admissions process for me. Overall, our scores are pretty low for Pepperdine, as in the lower half of admitted students, but the essays and extra-curriculars will definitely help

Your SAT score is on the high end for Pepperdine, but your GPA is a bit lower than the average. Your extracurriculars seem very solid, though, so that will probably give you a nice edge. Make sure you get references from people who really know you and can attest to your work ethic, character, etc. because Pepperdine makes an effort to look at the applicant holistically and find people who "fit" the school. If that's you, it seems like you stand a good change. Best of luck!

Hi, I am a junior at a midwest private school.
My GPA is 3.5
My ACT is going to be around a 24-27
I am involved in: 30+ hours of volunteering, girl scouts (3 awards)and 12 years, earth club president, photo club and amnesty international. I am an intern at my school.
I play 2 varsity sports as well.
I am going to visit soon also!

Would I get in if I had a good essay and such!?!
