| I have a MT D at PPU and she is very happy and more importantly she is challenged and she is learning and growing a lot. She is a Sophmore and has been cast in one show this spring.
This year they did Streets of America, Thou Shalt Not and Assassins, all three were incredible. The talent at PPU is terrific.
She is one of the many sophmores who moved off campus to a house in Oakland very close to the theatre. She and her room mates use the bus mentioned above to get to campus. The area she is in is full of students.
One correction on auditioning for the BFA. The students are eligable during the spring semester of their sophmore year. It is very selective. The students are either accepted, asked to audition again next fall or next spring or asked not to audition again. Very few are accepted during their sophmore year.
Overall we have been pleased with the school and the MT education. As mentioned above, the academic education lacks a bit. I understand they do have arrangements with University of Pittsburgh to take classes if you want to be challenged a bit more in the classrooom. |
