ACT or SAT?

I'm a junior/prospective undergraduate, and throughout highschool, have found that I am much more succesful in the ACT than the SAT. So, do I need to submit all my SAT and ACT scores, or if I just submit all my ACT scores, will that be okay?

Thanks!

Pomona requires that you submit all test scores:

Standardized Testing Reporting - Pomona College
Testing Requirements - Pomona College

My reading is that you need to send all of the ACT or all of the SAT, not all of both if you choose not to.

We were told they want everything. Here's the statement you have to certify:

"I have read and understand the Pomona College Policy on Standardized Testing Reporting. I certify that I have submitted or will submit all ACT and/or SAT test scores from all ACT and/or SAT test dates."

Right, that's what seemed ambiguous to me. It says or, which implies that I can choose to send all my ACT scores from all ACT dates. Eh I guess I'll just study more for the SAT. Thanks though!

Hi, I was in the same situation as you - 2120 on the SAT (took it once) and 35 on the ACT (took it once). I talked to my Pomona admissions officer and she said we were required to send in ALL test scores from all standardized tests we'd ever taken, so I sent in both. However, I do not think the SAT score hurt my chances of admission, as I was accepted. Hope this helps!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it. I took the SAT twice (2250 super score) and the ACT once (33 composite). My SAT was higher, and my ACT math score was awful (29), so I really didn't want to send it in, because math is otherwise one of my strengths on my application.

Also, I would consider taking some SAT subject tests.

Right, I got a 2110 on my SAT and a 34 on my ACT, back to the SAT review book. Thanks for the quick replies though

I wouldn't take the SAT more than twice (same for the ACT), and Pomona recommends the same. Your time is better spent doing other things.

They are going to give you the benefit of your highest scores, either ACT or SAT, so I don't think there is that much to worry about when sending them all.
