| youd be suprised about number 3. I fell in love with Pomona over night and I had to argue with my mom about its legitimacy cuz she had never heard of it. She said if it was Stanford, shed be happier about me going to Cali. |

| omg that is almost exactly what my mom said. i live in Boston, and she isnt thrilled that i have some california schools on my list. she said, "if it was an amazing opportunity, like Stanford or something, it would be different." i dont think she realizes that Pomona and Claremont McKenna would both be really amazing opportunities if i actually got in. |

I live in Greater Boston also, so if your mom has any questions about Pomona or the Claremonts, she can call me. PM me if you need my contact info. |

| Pomona sounds like a great school! How does it compare with Claremont McKenna-what are the similarities? what are the differences? |

| Well I heard that CM is more of a party school, and the sense I got from it was that it was more for economics/business. |

| There are many more differences between CMC and Pomona than the alcohol policy. It may be a better idea, to get the best feedback, to put this in a new thread or see an old one that addressed this topic. |

| hahah thanks for all the info!
i think it is hilarious when a friend asks me what school i will be applying to.. When i say "pomona" they always give me this "haha you are so dumb" look only to research and realize that it is one of the most selective schools in the nation. LOL
but i am still terribly worried about applying, whether or not i will get in..haha |

| I am so excited/nervous...there is a part of my application that is similar to this...x) I hope they like it.
Is it true that on your birthday, you are thrown into those chlorinated fountains? |

| hahah! when i was on a tour at pomona and cmc, they mentioned that! i thought that it was really cool. even though it isnt something extremely great, the whole idea of it seems to shout "FAMILY" to me.. it is just these little things, i presume, that shows that pomona's students are more tightly bound together... |
