Hey. There's no room for pessimism here.

There's a Pomona street on the north side of my city, so yeah... I'm going to reclaim it as it's rightful owner if I get in. Idk, Maybe I'll launch a bottle rocket over my neighborhood. That I'll do regardless of if I get in or not. Seems rather appropriate for some reason.

What are you going to do for the summer? Travelling? Summer school?

Travelling woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm planning to visit my grandparents living outside of US in late June.

after 5 more days of waiting is over, everything will be changed - whether it's an acceptance or a rejection.

Anyone know if Pomona offers piano lessons? I just got a keyboard and I'm taking a class in the summer and I was wondering if Pomona had a beginner/intermediate class with lots of one on one attention? I don't want it as a major... Just for kicks.

Yeah I watched it already. That's another thing. Pomona definitely has one of the most interactive admissions sites in the country. Definitely one of a kind.

Is there anyway I could live on campus for part of the summer if I'm accepted?

Pomona does offer individual music instruction, for music majors as well as non-majors. Piano is a bit competitive to get into though, since there are lots of people who want to take lessons but only a handful of piano faculty. At the beginning of every semester you can audition and it's definitely not just offered to the most advanced students. The best thing about it is, if you are on even a dime of financial aid, private music lessons are completely free.

Good luck to all of you awaiting transfer notifications!

From what I understand, only currently enrolled students who are working on campus - either in offices or labs - can live on campus.

You may be able to live on campus this summer if you enroll in the summer courses at Pitzer. Check their website.

Do they mail it so that we get it on the fifteenth? Or do we get it on the eighteenth or so because they mail it on the fifteenth?

And by god, you wake up early. I have work. What's your excuse?

I think it's going to be this way until I get my decision.

when I called last friday, she said decisions will be mailed ON the fifteenth.
but I'm gonna try again on wednesday just to make sure.
I hope they mail it before so I can get it on the fifteenth and relax

btw, is pomona your first choice as well? Where else have you applied?
