Can I still enroll classes if I can't make it on any given Orientation days??

Can I still enroll classes if I can't make it on any given Orientation days?? I am a transfer student for Fall 08, but I realized all the O'days are in conflict after I purchased the air-ticket. Is Orientation really "Mandatory" ? because I can ask my friend with same major to get the O'day info. for me.

I think the reason no one has answered is because it almost seems like you are talking about a different school. At Pomona, they're not called "Orientation days" and in fact there is a three-day "Orientation adventure" which is mandatory, I believe, in addition to the on-campus orientation. HAving a friend with the same major get the info wouldn't be relevant because the info given at orientation is not major-specific. And since transfer decisions haven't come out yet, people are wondering how you've already been accepted as a transfer. So I think we're all just a little confused.

I think Orientation day is for transfer students who transfer from community college. Orientation Adventure is for freshman. My case is that if I am going to transfer to pomona as a junior, will I be able to enroll class if I don't show up on the Orientation?? Sorry for the misleading description above. I should have said it clearly. Sorry

Cal-Poly maybe? I still don't understand the question.

At Pomona pre-registration (for incoming students) is after orientation week, the day before classes begin.

Your best shot would be to 'report post' I would guess. There isn't really a 'delete thread' button.

I would recommend emailing an admissions counselor to get an answer to your question though.
