Hello, I've been having a bit of trouble deciding what classes I should pick for my first quarter at UCSD.
I got a 4 on the AP Chem exam, and it says on Warren's Academic Advising Guide (
http://warren.ucsd.edu/_files/academ...sing_guide.pdf) that I can take Chem 6A, B, and C for credit. However, my counselor recommended online that I take either Chem 6B or Chem 6AH. A few months ago, I saw that a 4 would exempt me from Chem 6A, so...yeah I'm not sure if there's been a mistake, or if something's changed recently.
I also received a 5 on the Calc BC exam, so the counselor recommended that I take either Math 10C or 20C. Do most med schools require you to take one year of calculus? Do they not accept AP credit? Would I have to start from 10A or 20A and not get any credit?
Will I have to take more classes to fulfill the minimum 12 credit requirement each quarter if I choose to take classes that I'm exempt from? I'm just a bit concerned about taking too many classes.
