Summer after frosh year in college

I am on the premed track (bio major) and was wondering what there is to do over summer after I complete my first year in college. I looked up internships, but for the most part, I am not qualified (mainly b/c im only a freshman..and they want upperclassmen for research. I am not URM or from a disadvantaged background either). Is it just me or are lots of oppotunities for older undergrads?

Any suggestions or any programs/internships you guys know of that target freshmen/sophomores? Any shadowing, clinical opps? How do I look for these?

My current list of options I can think of: EMT training and certification so I can volunteer nearby college, volunteer at hospital near home (I am already vlntring at a hospital near my college).

I like to be productive over summer, so I dont bum around the house..but it seems like i dont have access to many options.
