Not 100% sure, but this is the only one I've heard of.

Actually, there are a few other programs (very rare). None that are specifically recruiting humanities majors, but a few early acceptance med programs.

Since that's the essence of this program, other BA/MD programs are not really applicable to the question.

^Indeed, especially since BA/MD programs target high school seniors and the HuMed program targets students already in college.

Actually, I wasn't referencing BA/MD programs. The poster in question asked about similar programs so I was referencing early acceptance medical programs (that's what HumEd is with a focus on humanities/social science majors). I'm not sure why anyone would respond about BA/MD programs since HumEd is not a BA/MD program.

Obviously BA/MD program target high schoolers. The programs I am talking about are early acceptance medical school programs for current college students, including sophomores. It's wonderful what some searching will find you on google

If you interpret that what the poster found 'amazing' about HumMed was the early acceptance part of this program, and that by 'similar' they meant other early acceptance programs, OK.

I however interpreted that the member was referring to the Hum part of HumMed as being 'amazing' and that they were asking for 'similar' programs that seek Humanities majors interested in Medicine.

I guess it's a matter of interpretation, I just don't understand how a BA/MD program would relate to the context of this post or this thread. Someone interested in the Humed program wouldn't be able to apply for a BA/MD program if they were a current college freshman, so that connection didn't make any sense to me.

Anyone hear back yet?

And critical reading/thinking skills.

Yes, there are several early assurance programs for currently enrolled undergrads, but only Mt. Sinai targets hume/lit majors. No other early assurance program focuses (solely) on lit/hume majors. None.

In other words, Mt. Sinai does not want science majors to even apply to this specific program, unlike Tufts Early Assurance which is happy to accept science majors.

I think we've all moved past that interpretation, so I think it's best folks move on.

Are there any people who are in the Humed Program or even who interviewed who can give advice on how to prepare/what to expect?
