Hi all,
For this quarter, I'm enrolled in the first of three-quarter physics classes (a difficult series designed for science and engineering majors). But since I'm going to switch to general biology major and out of bioengineering major, so I no longer need this difficult series of physics, which means I can take the easier series of physics. I'm just curious, would med schools care if I drop out of the hard class halfway and switch to an easier one?

I'm really struggling with that class, so the reason I want to switch is to maintain a better gpa. I know if I keep up with the harder series, I'm gonna be looking at three C to B's.

Oh, a side question: what are some books that accurately describe daily lives of doctors?

Physics is not easy. Many people fail or get Cs. And med school just don't care which series you take. As long as its not the fluff conceptual physics taken by non-science majors.

Well, a W is going to look a lot better than 3 Cs. So its not a bad trade.

Unless the OP's school is structured oddly, that's unlikely to be the trade he's facing. In any case the OP should drop down to the easier physics -- assuming it's actually easier -- for the last two quarters.

The question is, should he drop down mid-quarter? And that's unclear. Would it set him back by an entire year? Would a W show up on his transcript? What's the likelihood of a C instead of a B? Etc.
