Small private colleges pre-med programs good enough to get into med school?

I'm planning to go to a small-medium sized university like Drake, Bradley, or Butler. Would going to these types of schools hurt one's chances at getting into a med school?

As long as the pre-med advising is good, it shouldn't be a problem. If they have no advising or little experience with sending people on to medical school, then I'd be concerned.

Then look for affordable schools, not affordable "Pre-med schools". As long as the school has science departments and a pre-med committee, it really doesn't matter.

I'd go on, but instead I'll just tell you to read the stickied threads in the pre-med forum, since these questions have been answered thoroughly there.

There are several people in my son's MS-2 class at a top ten med school who went to small private religiously affiliated schools (that I had never heard of before) in either Kansas or Missouri. It's not where you go to school but what you do once you get there......
