Its called "econ1111 for premedicine"? I don't see how it would fulfill your requirements for anything. I mean, I guess if its a math class.... It doesn't sound like it would fulfill any requirements for med school.

However, depending on your major it might fulfill a general course requirement for your major. Medical schools won't censure you based on you taking econ1111.

Well, I guess I would simply pick out the schools that you are interested in here in the US and email them. Ask what their policy on international transfers is. After that, you will come here and take ALL of the pre-req classes required by US medical schools, as well as finishing your degree.

I'm a freshman at the university and I had a few questions about Med school.
1)Is it harder to make it to a Med school in a local city like UTMB in Galveston Houston or UT Houston Med school in comparison to Ivy league Med schools or is it about the same range? What is the difference between if I go to a good med school vs. any med school, I mean either way you'll end up as a doctor right?
2)Right now I'm majoring in Biology, but I would like to major in a Bachelors of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, because it's a good field and you can find a job in comparison to like a Biology or Biochemistry Major. I've not heard of many people to major in that and enter Med school. But everyone majors in Biology. Should I stick to Bio or enter this degree program. Plus it's a smaller school, has more research and service opportunities, and my sister has taken this course. So it's quite advantageous for me. Is it a good idea to switch to that? I can take my Organic during summer perhaps.

1) They are both difficult. Your state school will always be easier, though, than a "top" school. There is basically no difference in practice in terms of where you went to medical school, unless you're wanting to do academic medicine.
2) CLS sounds pretty vocational to me. You want an academic major, but bio or chem (or biochem) is not necessary. I wouldn't suggest o-chem over the summer if you can avoid it....
