My D is thinking about graduating one semester early with B.S. in Animal Science while applying to vet schools this summer/fall - will this be looked upon poorly. She will have all grad requirements done and I'm not sure there is any reason to stay and pay an additional semester. Will vet schools want you to remain in school until starting?
I heard about this. Really educated students do this, and some go through with all four years to take additional classes that relate to their career. For example, microbiology and genetics isn't required by all Vet schools so students take them. I don't think Vet schools will look down on this, but they will have high expectations for those who do graduate early. Sorry I don't know everything, I hoped I helped some.
As long as she's completed all the prerequisites for the schools she wants to apply to, graduating early won't be a problem. Lots of applicants use their semester off to get a job in a related field while working on applications.
