I am a nonfinalist that didin't get accepted or online program but I am not discouraged. Surprisingly, I AM just excited as I was on discovery day. All, those that were nonfinalist, don't be upset, submit your appeal, and get pumped up because its a 2nd chance. Alot of people deserve 2nd chances. Congratulations to the ones that got in and I hope to see you all there. Also congraulations to those that at least got accepted to the online program. Everyone should be proud, you all have one of the greatest gifts of all... knowledge. Be proud of it... PROUD TO BE A NERD! yEAH!... and I do look forward to joining NCSSM orchestra! Just a bump in the road of life... so excited cannot wait until May 4th. AAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! and no matters what happens, I, along with others, will pursue my dream. **cough**cough**Neurosurgeon. No losses!
P.S I just have to deal will the bragging people tomorrow... should be alot of fun

In regards to "finalist" and then the internet... my son got the same thing-- are you guys in or not? Online? Wait list?

I got in, too, I'm soo excited and I can't wait for next year!
But on a more serious note, is anything supposed to happen when you select the 'yes' option for accepting the finalist status and hit 'save,' or are the 'additional instructions' going to come at the same time for everyone (the 17th)?

@Stardance....I clicked yes then save and it pretty much just looks like I refreshed the page....It's kinda scaring me, what if they don't get it?? I think I'm going to email them and ask them if that's how its supposed to look. And yea, I want to know what the special instructions are...I wonder if they'll email them to us or if they'll be on the website?
@Beethank....My brother is currently at NCSSM. He went to Summer Ventures last summer too and he said that almost everyone that went with him to Summer Ventures appealed and everyone but one got in on appeals. Also, there's a lot of people that don't accept the offer even if they are finalists, so spots are left open for people who appeal.
He also has a friend who got wait-listed and he was about to start his summer reading when he got the call that he got into NCSSM. He had about a day to get ready and get to Durham. Best of luck  I'm praying!
@haneom94....That's sooo cool! That like made me super happy because you're the first person I know that doesn't go to my church that does lent....
I'm so excited!!!! So what is everyone's actual name? I'm trying to guess by the usernames whether y'all are boys or girls.... hahaha. I'm Anabel Medrano

@anabel: That is quite reassuring! I am almost done with my appeal letter. We get the appeal decisions on May 4th, so not much longer! CONGRATS to you, and HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed) I will be joining you as a classmate next year!

Welll, my real name is Han-gyeol Eom (I'm from S.Korea) but everybody calls me Kelly. haha, yeah, they're nothing alike... Long story.
Anyways, I'm super excited about meeting everyone and I'm hoping the best of luck to all the appealers.. For all the people attending the Welcome Day, prepare for the Placement tests!! I heard that's it's unnecessarily and excessively difficult... xP
