I am using Gateway to prep schools for some of my schools, and I already sent in my candidate profile. Do I have to keep going with those schools, or can I cancel one?
I have made the same mistake just a few weeks prior. I contacted the schools in question via email, including Deerfield and Hotchkiss, who cancelled the candidate profiles. I did not get a response from some schools, including Andover, for which I just continued with the application.
I accidentally did that with Westminster, and I just ignored it (no matter how infuriating it gets to see those flashing "you-must-make-a-payment-to-proceed" symbols. Grr.)
I don't really know how to cancel it, unless you contact the school. Good luck!
this kinda off topic but i had question about gateway and didn't want to start a new thread. for the school report who do i email that too? and is it a recomendation or ????? I just need to figure out what to tell them to do when they get the email.
You should check with your school office or your counselor to find out whose email you should use for the school report. In my daughter's case, it was her counselor but it could be different at your school. And yes, I believe it includes a recommendation section, not just your transcript.
It should be pretty self-explanatory when they get the email but you want them to be watching for it and not have it sit in their junk mailbox. I'd suggest checking in with them a few days after you send off the email and just asking if it came through all right and do they have any questions.
