It is a close knit community. The traditions were/are very important to my daughter. Good luck with your application.

thats idiotic. I'm a current student, knew tatum, all that shabang. But really, you should ask your mother, if she really is concerned, to talk to the administration. Or students. I have never been bullied, hazed, or scared for my life. Please, look past the media and instead to those who have actually experienced life here. It is a truly amazing place, and my choice of coming here was probably THE best decision I have ever made.

Don't make a decision based on that article. My wife went to Miss Porters and used to be a Trustee there. It is a wonderful school! Have met the new headmistress, she is great too. I will not blast Vanity Fair, but seriously, should That magazine make your decision? They make money by writing stories that entertain and titillate. Truth is not their objective. There is a story behind the story and it is more about one student's problems not about a problem school.

I was at MPS today and it was so AMAZING. I visited the dorms and I did not expect them to be that big. Everyone was so friendly and sympathetic. ALmost all the girls I met talked to me about the boys from Avon Farm School. After visiting MPS, I went to Avon because my cousin is applying there. The boys he talked to were also talking about the girls from MPS. It was just so hilarious.

My parents are only allowing me to apply to 4 schools therefore anything that looks vaguely suspicious is banned off the list. Stupid I know but I'm not protesting it took 3 years of solid convincing to get them to consider BS. My mother went to a boarding school outside the US where hazing definitly happened so I think she is balking at what she really doesnt want for me.
