I think it's so much fun to watch admissions video even if you don't want to go to the school. However, they can get really boring and vapid when a bunch of kids are saying the same thing

@ifax: I agreee that Exeter's 17 minute long was pretty good, but I think they should update that and do a better one....one like Deerfield!

In my opinion, I'd say that the videos give an overview, but it's definitely too scripted. The best thing is definitely a visit to the school. True, the students are all amazing like the video, but there's a difference. You get a feel for the school. Like Hotchkiss seemed perfect for me on the website...but for me (and again for ME, not others) I hated it when I went there. It was too "woodsy" and too far off from other places for me. I like Exeter because it's nestled into a little town, but it's still walking distance to town.
Just my thoughts.

I like the admissions videos for the pictures of the campus. The Deerfield one has parts in the rooms!
