| Determining Gender in CC
This is really bothering me. Yes, one of the reasons I started this thread is because I am monumentally bored, but still.
How can you tell what gender someone is on CC unless they specifically state it OR their screen name reveals it? And even then??

Their username? Their sport? I assume you are a girl...
Me? I'm a guy.

yeah. Funny enough, I thought you were a girl for the longest time (Viola is a girl name, i didn't think through the principal part) until you said that you were a guy. See??
Sorry, but aside from my screen name, I don't think there's any way to tell that I'm a gorl. and it bothers me a little bit.

I did not even know viola was a girl name, haha. I am the principal chair of my orchestra and I play viola. Hence principalviola.

PV....I noticed pan always refers to you as "he"; I always thought you were a girl because of "viola". Wasn't there a "Viola" on Charlie Brown? I realize it is your instrument, but the first thing I thought of when I saw it was the name.

no. Typing is generally gender-neutral. I guess it just bothers me so much because I go to a school with tons of Barbies that make me feel ugly/non-feminine

Well... Girls tend to "!!!!", "OMG", "w t f", and " , , , ;(" more.
I hate the 60 seconds between posts rule.

well I might have guessed you were a guy (hammer sounds rather masculine).
But, let's say, DiveAlive. Other than her most recent profession of love for lisi harrison, I couldn't have guessed. And if my name wasn't feminine-sounding, I could be mistaken for a dude.

But if you have intriguing thoughts and offer an interesting point of view...I like you, chick or dude...

same here. One reason that I love CC is because it isn't full of a buch of attractive idiotic numbskull poopooheads that never read and don't care if they fail math as long as they can still get drunk at parties and smoke pot.

My school is filled with everything you describe. After school when I come home and listen to some conservative **** people wonder if I have hypertension.
