Chances at hotchkiss, lawrence, andover, exeter, cate, thacher, and le rosey.

hello i am a thirteen year old (eighth grader)
who is willing to go to a good college prep school in my junior year.
i am moving to paris this summer and my family is planning to stay for two years(to learn french)
i am asian and i am currently in china(american school), my parents are korean but i was born in the US. We moved when i was in sixth grade.
I am not on a rush because i still have two years of time to prepare for things but i have heard so many good things about the private boarding schools in america and throughout the world.

STATS
---grades---
all As from elementary school until now. (except sometimes in PE i had a B)

student council
piano for 8 years (passed grade 10 two years ago)
donated own money to a charity in china and spent a month in that city(school)
community service
swimming
scholarship for 3 years(private school)
school radio
dancer
student leader of the visual and performing arts section

never took isee or ssat but i think i will be in the advanced level...

the reason why i posted this is that i really want to know the schools better, especially exeter, hotchkiss, cate, and thacher.

the reason why i put le rosey on there is because i had a friend over and he liked it really bad so there's a chance i might try out for it.

i do not need financial aid, and if necessary, my parents will support the school.

i really NEED to know my chances. all the information above is true.

Thank you so much

10th grade is a long ways from now. Your chances will be so much different then.

You need to research which schools accept a significant number of 11th graders (juniors).

This last admissions cycle at Thacher, the admits were:
- 58 freshman
- 8 sophomores
- 0 juniors or seniors

I do know that if they admit juniors, it’s in rare instances, and only one or two a year at most.

You seem like you have a pretty good chance, but you shouldn't worry about it now. Admissions committees can tell if you are just adding extra curriculars and such to boost your application, not because you are actually passionate.

Another note, your username is 'HWANG86', which is a common Asian surname, and you mentioned you are Asian. You also signed your post 'Stella H.' Therefore one may determine your full name is Stella Hwang. You may want to change your username; you don't want to be releasing such private details.
