do normal people get into private schools?

do "average joes" get into boarding schools (such as GLADCHEMMS)? when i read all the chance me posts, i see people with 10 million extra curriculars and perfect grades. my grades arent jaw-drop amazing, and my extra-curriculars are pretty normal (violin, soccer). im really worried now, do i still have i chance?

Yes, but it depends upon the particular school & on your qualifications. Some schools have higher entrance requirements than others.

To get into the most selective schools I think you need to be a better-than-average Joe.

You don't need to walk-on-water, but it would certainly help. Being a 3rd generation legacy whose family has donated a dorm or library building to the school also helps.
