im applying for phillips andover and exeter as a freshman
well i didnt do so well on ssat's cuz only had 2 mths to study

verbal: 680 (62%)
math: 773 (91%)
reading: 692 (77%)
total: 2145 (82%)

national verbal: 90%
national math: 99%
national reading: 95%

grades for quarter 1 and 2

science: A(97% both quarters)
social studies: A(95% both quarters)
band: A-A+(100% 1st quarter, 98% 2nd quarter)
spanish I: A-A+(99% 1st, 95% 2nd)
geometry: A+(99% both quarters [yeah baby!])
language arts: A(95% 1st, 94% 2nd)

fluent in english and chinese

im pretty sure i got great recommendations
i definitely got awesome interview sure of it
essay i think i did okay
i applied for financial aid

EC's:
tennis: pretty good
ping pong: good
6 years of piano: completed lvl 6 nhmea w/97 %
class treasurer of my school for two straight years
5 years of clarinet (my school band won platinum at great east festivals last year)
participated in some clubs

so what do u think my chances are? i prefer a percentage :-)

A word of advice:

Please don't put anything thats just plain unnecessary
such as your school band winning some awards,
honestly those schools won't care.

You might get into one,
just if you play up the Chinese thing.

I'd give a 40-60 shot of getting into one.

wow!! i am the same in your position i am fluent in english and chinese and i am starting to get ready for my ssat!!!

i bet u could get in because you play insturments and stuff all i have is my grades so i am guessing 98% chances of u getting in
