Chances please?

I'm plan on applying to Andover, Exeter(I'm focusing more on Exeter), Choate, Hotchkiss and Groton for my sophmore year.
8th grade GPA-4.0 all year long
9th grade GPA-3.8
Reading scores-Off the charts. Pass college level
Math-Above Average/Average
Social Studies-Above Average
Science-Average
Past awards-
English Student of the year
Was on Honor Roll all year long in 7th and 8th grade
Currently taking Chinese

Extra Curricular Activities-
National Junior Honors Society(8th grade)
Gay-Striaght Alliance(in my school)
Gay Striaght Alliance(city wide)
I plan on joining the Student Athletic Program at my school
I sing(for 3 years)
I'm currently learning the guitar and also plan on learning the Piano in the future

Please tell me if there is a possibility I can get into these schools(especially Exeter). A yes,no, or maybe so. If it is a no or maybe please give me suggestions of ways that maybe or no can turn into a yes. Do I need more extra curricular activities? Just give me a suggestion of what you think I should improve. Thanks for the help

I should also add that I'm equally interested in Andover the same with Exetor. Also school reccomendations are welcome and appreciated. My family makes an income of about 30,000 at the most(with 5 other people living with me). I'm also African American so if you need more info just ask

What are hooks? I've participated in sports back in the past but not currently. I'm horrible at athletics. I haven't taken the SSAT. My school is pretty advanced. We have a learning technique called Mastery. With Mastery you can't get a test lower than a B- and a overall grade lower than a C-.

Hello!

It's great that you're African American, I think that might be considered a hook because it's a URM? Anyway, you seem to have an interest in English/Reading? If you do, join some ECs that reflect that love. From glancing at your list of ECs, a person probably wouldn't know that you love English. Send in a recording of you singing or playing the guitar, and talk to a person in the music department at each of the schools. Get great scores on the SSAT, and do well on the interview/essay. Study hard and be yourself! You have a chance, good luck.

Also, all of the schools you are applying to are very selective, so apply to some matches/safeties as well to assure you get in.

Obviously-Thanks for the help. My highschool is actually brand new(only 2 years old) so it's still trying to get the whole club thing together but I do plan on joining more clubs. Could you reccomend some matches/safeties for me please?

Where will you be coming from? As in the city.

It seems you stand a decent chance, although the poor athletics definitely puts you somewhat at a disadvantage. My advice to you is to at least play a sport, even if it is not at a top notch level, noar do you have to commit much time to it.

Are you coming from a private or public school?

prepsch00l- I'm coming from a public school from a good district. I was possibly thinking about taking Figure Skating since it's a winter sport and winter is coming up but that seems like a high level of difficulty.

Taft, Thacher, Brooks, Kent, Mercersburg, Blair, Hill, Govenor's, Middlesex and Concord come to mind. They're all great schools, just a little less competitive as the ones you have listed above, I believe. (Actually, some might have the same admissions rate as HADES does, such as Taft and Middlesex, due to the recession. Take a look though, maybe you'll find some you adore!)

I definitely would look at figure skating...well really any sport that seems interesting to you. It will make you a much better applicant, and you will look a lot more well rounded.

Good luck man!
