Chances for Taft? Please!

Hi,
So I will be applying to schools next year, and will be applying to be freshman. I have a few on my list, and one of them is Taft.

so.. these are my grades.
Consistent 3.4-3.6 GPA
Physics-B to B+
Math-B+
English-A-
History-A-
French-B+ to A-
Latin-B+

And for electives..
Woodshop-A
Graphic Design-A to A-

My ECs include:
Head editor on my school newspaper
Volunteering at homeless shelter every 2 weeks
Volunteering for my ski racing program
Volunteering on my school's clean up day every time it's offered
Volunteering at my town's book sales every Summer for a lot of time
Volunteering for my town's clean up day, help pick up trash for hours over a weekend
I also have a summer job every year as a caddy at my local golf course

Sports:
Ski racing for 7 years. Top skier in my state, top 15 in the Northeast. Recruited at multiple prep schools(Taft not included). Race at a USSA level, and for my current private school. Named MVP 3 years in a row for my school team.
Soccer for 7 years. Play at a club level(top team in my county). Captain on my school team, and on my club team.
Baseball for 4 years.
Basketball for 3 years.
Competitive golf for 2 years, placed in a few tournaments.

SSATs: Haven't taken them yet, but I hope to be in the 80th% and up. I have a tutor at the moment that I am getting prepped with.

Interview: Most definitely will go well. I am very prepared, and I have been noted on having great people skills, and great skills speaking with adults. I am very polite.

I currently attend a top notch private school. I would have a straight A average if I were at a public school/not as good private school.
So CC, what do you think are my chances at getting into Taft?
I am a white male btw.

Also, I hear that Taft is harder to get into now due to the recession...is this true? How does the recession even effect that?

Thanks! And please help!

I will not be applying for financial aid, I will be fully paying if I go.

hmmmmmmmmm good chance

it seems ur more of a sports-oriented personn. the top 15 and top state level is VERY GOOD. but its a tossup. alotta kids have goodscores+sports.

id say try the SAT's and aim fr a 1900ishh? + 95%+ SSAT= ur in 99%
well that mightt be unreasonable.

u sitll have a good chance of getting. include ur coach in the admission forms and focus on ur athletics.

top boarding schools are alwayss a tossup. theyre verryy capriciousss. do u do any intruments?

No, I don't have any instruments. I was never very good musically.

Any more opinions? Are my chances not too good?

thanks!
