Chances at Exeter, Andover, Deerfield, and Middlesex?

I'm only applying to Exeter, Andover, and Middlesex for 2010-2011 freshman year because my parents are afraid of paying the application fee and then me not get in D:. I'm taking the ISEE next Saturday and I'm hoping I'll score at least 90% overall.

EC:

Builder's Club 1 year
Math Club vice president 1 year
(only clubs offered at my school besides chess club)
Paino 5 years passed the grade 5 ABRSM piano exam
Flute 2 years
Drama/Theater 3 years
Badminten 3 years
Volunteer at library 1hr/week 2 years

In 6th grade I had at least an A in everything, mostly A+
7th I had a B+ in the last three quarters and a B on my history midterm
8th so far I have all As
Recomendations are good.
I'm asian, does that decrease my chances?

What are my chances of getting into at least one boarding school? I don't have a lot of ECs, but it's all my school offers. What can I do to improve?

You have chosen schools which have very low acceptance rates. Many qualified candidates are denied admission. You have a chance, but if you really desire to attend boarding school, I would try to convince your parents to expand your choices of schools. Many schools offer fee waivers to those needing a lot of financial aid. I don't mean to be the "Debbie Downer" here, but every year there are some students who don't get in to any of the schools to which they have applied, through no fault of their own. This outcome can be avoided most of the time with better planning.

Good luck to you! Get those applications started, and make the appointments for interviews.

Hi there. Your ECs are really spread out in different areas. Usually, (from my past XP) BSs look for passion maybe in one area, I'm not sure if I see that or not. Maybe, is your passion music and theatre? If so, try looking into the music and theatre programs at each school and sending in a recording of you playing. I do agree with Brooklyn though, you are applying to a very selective bunch of schools, so try and add at least one safety or match to the list. Right now, I'm not sure the boarding schools will get a sense of "you." Use you essays to come through as a mature person, and ace your interview. The essays and interview will be crucial. Sorry if I'm being a bit harsh. Don't stress about it too much though. You definitely have a chance, but you can decide how much of a chance it is with interview/essays.
(Sorry if anything I said above is incorrect, sorry, I'm not an admissions officer)
Good luck!
