Well, the lack of any response seems to indicate something. Andover parents, come out of the woodwork!

Hello,
I've been a lurker for a few months, but have risen to the challenge to come out of the woodwork just because I have appreciated your posts. I'm the mom of a 9th grade girl, and will be at the weekend. She's a local boarder (within a hour) so we've seen her a few times, but I'm still looking forward to the visit very much.

Welcome lemonade1! I was a long-time lurker as well.

a little late...

A little late but my wife and I attended Parents Weekend at Andover and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We attended all of our Lower daughter's classes and were able to get our daughter off campus and in to Boston for some R & R and, yes, sleep.

Similar experience...enjoying very much, and working very hard. The students have long days: classes, afternoon sport/fitness (she did crew for the first time and was really into it), dinner, some brief social time, and homework. Her house counselor is good about ensuring the 11 p.m lights out, so that sleep is emphasized.
