Welcome to the Princeton 2009 Community This is something new at CC - we've enjoyed the communities of hopefuls that developed within each college topic, and shared the joys and sorrows as the letters came out. We've decided to create a special space for those CC members who plan to attend Princeton in 2009. Hope you enjoy it, and good luck in the fall!

Many many thanks. This will definitely help a lot in the coming months to separate the '09 discussion from the '06ers looking into Princeton.

| Class of 2009 MOM-Question re: senior AP exams Ok, I was put on to this site by a 2009 Dartmouth mom! We are both sooo excited that we found this site before all our computer savy younger generation children and look so forward to "one uping" them soon. My question is this? My daughter was accepted ED (learned that lingo from scanning over the posts) and she is in a debate with her counselors about whether or not she needs to take her remaining AP exams. She will not be using any of the credits and knows they want her to take them for their stats. What is the advantage @ Princeton to her taking her remaining AP exams?(obviously senioritis has hit big here)
Grateful for any info!

The advantage is Princeton will allow your D to skip the intro (101- usually large classes) and trade up to the advanced more specific (usually smaller classes).

Yeah...unless she's actually planning on using them to place out of intro courses, there really isn't any point (but most especially for exams like the English ones, gov't...well really, everything except foreign languages, Bio/Phys/Chem, calc, and the econs). If she doesn't want to take them, there really isn't any reason to. It won't hurt her at all.
