princeton may be very cruel in releasing their decisions so late, but not so cruel as to admit an applicant only to find out it's a mistake and then rescind the offer.

Wanted to bump this thread as we're waiting for the next packet to come from Princeton. As an EDer, I haven't gotten anything since January (Undergrad Announcement, note from Rapelye... nothing too important). I think we're supposed to get the more important stuff sometime in May...?

Arriving

This may sound stupid, but when is everyone planning to get there? Are your parents coming with you the first days to help you settle in?
I'm from Chile, so I have millions of these ridiculous questions.
Does anybody know if there's a admitted/current princeton students community on the web besides the facebook one which requires a Pton email to join?
My head is about to explode...lol

Peace

Yoel

I don't think I'm going to do OA, so my parents and I will drive up to NJ the night before, and they will probably leave the day orientation begins. I'm really starting to look forward to everything. I envy my friends who already have college email accounts.

Yoel - there is already an online community on facebook with about 750+ students; you can join the group if you get a non-college facebook. I would recommend doing that (you would probably just join the Chile network) and then when you get a @princeton.edu email account you can just transfer it over.

My son just received the second packet! Of course, being a good parent, I am not opening and will wait for him to check it out first. We are in NJ if that helps you anticipate when you will get your packet.

So will there be an email assigned to us in this "second packet"? And how can we request an email if we don't like the one they gave us? I have one in mind and I really want that over anything they could assign me, and it works with my initials and all, it just uses my middle one instead of my last [initial].
