For 09, it was April 14-16
Fro 10, it was April 20-22
I believe it starts on Thursday afternoon and ends Saturday morning.
If you call, the admissions office can probably tell you.
P.S. If you have been accepted ED, you are not invited.

You're not technically invited, but you're welcome to come if you can find someone to host you.

April Hosting this year will take place on the 12th to the 14th (Thursday to Saturday morning) and is offered to all students accepted through regular decision. Early decision students are welcome to come, but must find their own housing, food, etc.

i don't think anyone in my quad is planning on hosting anyone for admit weekend yet, but if any EDers feel like visiting, i'd be more than happy to provide housing for the weekend. PM me if this applies to you.

Same here -- willing to host an EDer. (And maybe an RDer or two as well.)

Yeah - that is the one thing about getting in ED! Since they are already bound to attend they don't get fawned over quite as much as regular decision acceptees.

Hm I can't go during the actual one because I'll be at CPW at MIT but I'm going a few days afterwards... I guess I'm just on my own to visit classes and stuff then?

April Hosting 2007 is held from April 12-14 this year. I will be a host for the program, so I hope I get assigned to one of you. I encourage everyone who is able to see if it fits into your schedule. You will surely not regret it.

I sadly won't be able to attend the April Hosting from April 12-14 either. Can someone give me an idea of how structered the alternative dates are? Is there a specific plan of what to do there while we are there, or are we pretty much on our own? Also, how long are the alternative visits, typically?

Alternative visits are usually for 2 days/one night, depending on your travel arrangements. You will get a student as a host, your meals in the dining facilities will be paid for, but your host is primarily responsible in getting you to see what you want to see. I would believe that any other activities would be whatever the ones are occurring on campus for the given day you attend.

So yes, it will ultimately be less structured, but you have the opportunity to plan with your host as many things as mutually possible. Your host could take you to some classes, or you could sit in on a dance practice or a music rehearsal, or your host might take you to a guest lecture or to see a show at Theater InTime or McCarter Theatre. No, you will not be on your own, your host will take care of you, but yes, there will not be a lot of organized things specifically for prospective students.

If you are interesting in visiting Princeton, but can't make April Hosting, I would be quite willing to host you. Please check out my other thread and see what you think.
