Sorry if this was already discussed and I missed it but, are we allowed to participate in more than one certificate program, or are we only limited to one?

Is a certificate supposed to be equivalent to a minor at out colleges? And how many is doable? (like is 2 doable, maybe 3? etc)

It's more or less equivalent to a minor, depending on which one you're talking about. Some require a lot of work and some require very little work, so how many are feasible depends on which ones you're talking about. Usually you can take certificates close to your major without too many additional requirements, like combining ORFE with certificates in applied mathematics and finance. Doing two certificates in unrelated fields that are unrelated to your major, on the other hand, might be very hard. The extra independent work / research can really add up.

This blog links to a story about popular majors, a lot of people will major in a large department and then get a certificate in another one, it is similar to minoring at other Universities. Alternatively, it can be a good idea to major in a smaller department (with personal connections with professors) but get a certificate in something like finance or political economy if you're interested in those subject but don't want a large department.
