| Community Action Hi everyone!
Applications for OA and CA will be online in a couple of days, so I'm trying to decide once and for all which to choose.
I have been leaning towards CA forever, simply because I love community service and I'm not a huge fan of the outdoors. I figure either program is a great way to get to know fellow frosh, which is great and the reason I (and most of us, I would imagine) would do OA or CA anyway.
There's already a thread on OA, but I couldn't find anything on CA. Are there any current Princeton students out there who did CA? What was your experience with it? Did you find it valuable? Would you recommend it over OA, or vice versa, or neither? Best thing about it? Worst thing?
Thanks so much in advance! |

| In my opinion, although OA looks more fun, CA will probably be more interesting and enriching, especially the group discussions. Also, I'm considering the International Pre-Or since I'm from Chile. I'm so absolutely screwed. I have no idea which to choose! Think man, Think! What would Krugman do?

| I'm doing OA, even though I'm international. I figure I'll always be able to do community service, but OA is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. |

| I'm doing CA because like you, I'm not a big outdoors person and I'm into community service. I think OA will be more fun, and considering 50% of the incoming class does OA, it would be a great way to meet new people. Still, I think you can have this doing CA. |

| Does anyone know what we are supposed to put for the Princeton ID number? Is it the same number as the one on the survey form, or something totally different? |

| I called the SVC office (the number on the application) about the PU I.D. number, and she told me to do a search for myself under "Princeton people" on the Princeton website. I did it, and found my info (including net ID, etc.), but not my ID number. I called her back and told her that the number wasn't there, and she did a search for me on her computer and found the number. Maybe because she was using the Princeton network? I don't know.
Anyway, just give them a call and ask them about it. They'll have already gotten 5 million calls about the same thing, and will know how to help you. |

| Originally we were supposed to be able to see our own id numbers. Since that isn't the case, the CA leaders said it's fine if we leave it blank. |
