Living in a single in Bloomberg won't be bad since a lot of other freshmen will be in the same position. That's part of the reason why we have RCA groups. You'll meet other freshmen who live near you under the mentorship of an RCA and will go to all of your freshman week events together and have study breaks, etc. When you're around a lot of other people who are in singles, people often (but not always) put more effort into getting out and meeting neighbors. Not so in the big suites.
One of my best friends lived in a freshman in 1915 our first year, and she actually loved it because she met our group of friends and we hung out a lot, but she always had her own room to go back to whenever she wanted to (i.e., she could live how she wanted without the sometimes stressful situation of living with a roommate) while still having a social life. It's just going to be up to you to get out to your RCA's study breaks and to really get out and meet your hallmates. Bloomberg has
huge hallways in terms of length, so you'll have a lot of people to meet.
Plus Wu (where you'll be eating) is a really social place, so you'll be able to see and eat with a lot of friends in the dining hall. All in all, I wouldn't worry, and would instead look forward to ways to make your little corner your home away from home
