Language Tests

If I placed out of the foreign language requirement with my AP scores, can I still take the online placement test to see which class I would be placed into? If I get placed into one that I don't want to take, can I at that point choose not to take it?

Yes. You have time to drop classes if you want.

Well I find out which class I'm in immediately after I take the test right? So it would be before orientation/class scheduling, so technically I wouldn't have been signed up in the first place?

Yes, look on your frosh calendar for language test dates; email the department head if you want to check/make sure/ sign up.

They merely place you, you can then add the course if you want.
