Packing for College

I'm confused!
Could anyone tell me what I should definitely take with me to Princeton?
I honestly didn't find the 'Dorm Room Essentials' helpful at all...
For example, when it says school supplies, should I take my calculator etc. with me?
I mean, should I literally take pencils, pens, erasers, notebooks, highlighters... all that stuff?
What are the things I can buy when I arrive on campus, and what are the things I really really need to take with me to college?

Well, it's like this: You can bring all those things you listed with you or you can buy it all once you get there. If, say, you have a high-end graphing calculator, why would you want to buy a second one -- unless you just like to spend money? So yeah, most people bring calculators, pencils, notebooks, yadda-ya. They use the campus store for what they forgot or if they need more of something (you brought one notebook but need three, say).

That being said, between the town of Princeton and the campus store, you could probably come without anything at all -- including clothes -- and buy it all there. It's a monetary lifestyle choice.

Feel free to buy school supplies in the U-Store, but remember that you can usually get things for a lot cheaper at home. If travel space isn't an issue (you aren't flying) I'd recommend bringing all of that stuff with you, since you can save a bunch.

Personally, I bring pens, pencils, paper, calculators, and the like, but buy notebooks and binders, which take up more space when traveling when I arrive. (Additionally, you might not know which classes it might be best to buy binders vs notebooks until classes start anyways, and that way you can buy the nifty Princeton gear) But otherwise, bring what you can!
