Math Course Selection

Which math course should I take?
My experience: AP calculus BC- scored 5 on AB, scored 4 on BC
SAT I (math section) 800 - The undergraduate announcement uses this score for further placement

I do not plan to major in math, but I plan to major in the engineering department, possibly ORFE.

I have very little knowledge of Taylor/McLaurin Series accounting for my 4 on the BC exam. These topics seem to be covered extensively in MAT 104, but do I need them for 201/203? Do I need them at all?

Should I take 104 to fill my knowledge gap, 201 (Multi-var. calc.) the logical next step, or 203 (advanced multi-var. calc) which the announcement deems I am qualified for?

All opinions are welcome.

I would not waste a semester relearning stuff. I recommend you just do 201/203. You can always go learn Taylor/Mclaurin series on your own if you ever need it. It's not really complicated anyways.

Word of advice: 203 is really hard. A good portion of the class has already taken multivariable calc, and they still find it extremely challenging.

201 seems reasonable if you're good at math (which is hard to gauge from high school classes).

I would take 201 unless you really like math.

I'm in 203 right now... not too terribly hard. If you got a 4 on BC, you're best taking 201 though. Side note: roommate started in 215, dropped to 201. Will probably get A. Take 201.
