Has anyone else applied yet? It's been two weeks and the status is still loan manager reviewing it. I thought it would take much less.

I took out a parent loan a couple years ago. I don't remember exactly how long it took, but I remember it as being quick and easy. Maybe give them a call. They were easy to work with.

Thanks sherpa. I called the office. I've been told that the status won't change until July 15 when they find out about loan interest rates.

Sopecreek have you done the estimator? If your numbers are accurate it should come back fairly close to your actual loan amount unless you have extenuating circumstances that they need to consider. We submitted ours when our son applied EA and the numbers came back with the admissions decision. It was pretty close to the estimator.
