when people say that princeton doesnt look at freshman year grades...?

does that mean that they throw them out without looking at them at all? or does it mean that they look at them, but dont "officially" use them in their decision making process?
I had a pretty bad freshman year, and it brings my GPA down .1 points. I would be much happier if I could avoid the increased scrutiny on my application by have a 3.93 GPA rather than a 3.81
